We have just had a very encouraging Progress Meeting with The National Lottery Heritage Fund – our major funders. Although we have not yet achieved the full required funding we have demonstrated to them how this will be achieved, despite an inflationary increase in expected costs. We anticipate the Heritage Fund will soon confirm they can give us more time to complete the funding and also allow us to continue apace with the programme with no pause.
We know that a number of potential investors have pledged support but not yet invested. We have also received enquiries and support from other investors and funders and they require a little more time.
We have decided therefore to extend the offer to enable us to complete the funding while pushing ahead with the project and current programme.
