We are almost there – just one last push!
We are within reach of being able to restore Wickham Market’s historic George Inn into a wonderful, welcoming pub, restaurant and community space. To achieve this we need to ask for your support in the form of a pledge (see Pledge form below)
The National Lottery Heritage Fund has recognised the historic importance of the building and has already given us an £82,000 grant for the design and preparation of its restoration. A further sum of nearly £1million has been earmarked by the Fund for the final restoration and building works.
However we still have a funding gap and are currently looking to raise a Pledge value of £200,000. Your Pledge will be taken as an expression of interest to invest in the Society and your declaration does not constitute a commitment to invest. When we have secured all other funding we will ask that you convert your pledge into cash to buy shares in the Society.
